Mission
I served in the Marine Reserves and watched too many Marines miss out on benefits and opportunities because nobody explained them. Not because they were lazy. Because the system failed them.
Meanwhile, reserve commands are quick to tell a service member they are not managing their finances correctly. They hand out worksheets and mandatory financial briefs like that solves the problem. It does not. The reality is most reservists are not making enough money. They are barely getting by. Especially the ones with families, struggling to provide while still trying to serve their country. Missing work to come to drill puts them in a worse financial position than they were already in.
FOV exists to fix that. We help reservists identify a realistic career direction, then we fund the training that gets them there. No handouts. No motivational speeches. Just a plan, funding, and follow-through.
